Why take part in a workshop?
All the documentation you need to build your moskitOS will soon be available on this site, but in addition tobeing accompanied by competent helpers, workshops allow you to work together, exchange and share knowledge and ideas, discuss and get answers to your questions without having to go through all the documentation again, and also meet new people and have a good time ! So don’t hesitate any longer, and we look forward to meeting you 😀

The tools needed to build a moskitOS
You don't need any special tools to make a Moskitos, but you will need the following. When working in groups, bring several pencils, erasers, rulers, measuring tapes, etc. so that as many people as possible can work at the same time. Scie à onglet* Visseuse Scie...
Take part in a moskitOS workshop!
During the course you will learn to :
- work with wood
- read a technical drawing
- work in a team
- write manufacturing instructions
- build with your hands
- assemble, maintain and repair a bicycle or similar device
- use low-tech components to provide essential functions, such as stress distribution or rotation in wood, in a reliable and sustainable way
- And so much more!

Short course programme
Over 2 days, partial manufacture of a moskitOS, complete assembly and rolling
Day 1
- introduction of everyone
- walk through the manufacturing guide
- transferring the plans onto the wood
- learning about the tools, cutting and drilling the parts
- screw-glued assembly of the frame sub-assembly
- documenting and supplementing the guide if necessary
Day 2
- assembling the chassis, arms, axle and steering sub-assemblies
- add the fork
- adding the bike components (wheels, transmission, gears and braking)
- lubrication and first wheel turns!
Long course programme
Over 5 days, complete manufacture of 1 to 3 moskitOS and rolling
Days 1 to 3
- introduction of each person
- walk through the manufacturing guide
- transferring the plans onto the wood
- learning about the tools, cutting and drilling the parts
- screw and glue assembly of the chassis, arms, axle and steering sub-assemblies
- racking the wheels
- documenting and supplementing the guide if necessary
Days 4-5
- assembly of the chassis, arms, axle and steering sub-assemblies
- adding the forks
- adding the bike components (wheels, transmission, gears and brakes)
- Lubricate and put the bike through its paces!
- group rides and non-competitive races 😀
Looking for an internship in your area?
We’re looking for people or organisations who would like to offer an internship in their area:
- Do you know at least one person who wants to build their own moskitOS for around €1,000, and others who are interested in taking part solely in the construction (learning woodworking, bike mechanics)?
- Do you have access to a room equipped with a mitre saw and a drill press?
